Sixty-five master chefs, culinary experts to gather at Pho Festival 2024

As many as 65 master chefs and culinary experts from across the country will join the Pho Festival 2024, which will take place in the northern province of Nam Dinh from March 15 - 17.

Hanoi (VNA) – As many as 65 master chefs and culinary experts from across thecountry will join the Pho Festival 2024, which will take place inthe northern province of Nam Dinh from March 15 - 17.

With various activities, the event is expected to offer an opportunity for visitors to enjoy theflavour of ‘pho’ (Vietnamese rice noodle soup) blended with regional cultures across the country, thus promoting the Vietnamese distinctive dish.

Chairwoman of the provincial Culinary CultureAssociation Le Thi Thiet said that the festival aims to highlight the diversity of ‘pho’ in many localities nationwide, such as Hanoi, Ho ChiMinh City, Nam Dinh, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Lam Dong, Quang Nam and Gia Lai.

On the first day of the event, both domestic and international tourists willhave the opportunity to explore and savor the traditional pho of Van CuVillage in Nam Truc district. They will learn about the origin anddevelopment of the dish and directly participate in the cooking process.

The festival will gather more than 50 booths introducing theingredients and seasonings to make ‘pho’, as well as packaged ‘pho’ productsfor export.

A talk show on the history and development of the craft makingof ‘pho’, an exhibition space, and a writing contest on the dish willalso be held on the occasion.

Notably, chefs will join hands to cook a giant pot that can serve2,000 bowls of ‘pho’ to serve visitors to the festival.

The event will be jointly organised by theprovincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial Culinary Culture Association, Masan Consumer Corporation, andBlue Vietnam Company Limited./.

The festival is expected to bring together around 900 artists, producers and film professionals from Vietnam and abroad, including more than 200 international guests. This marks the largest edition since DANAFF was first launched in 2023, highlighting its growing appeal within the film industry.

Bilingual book, exhibition honour Ho Chi Minh’s legacy

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Tran Van Bay extended greetings to the local Buddhist community and acknowledged the important contributions made by the city chapter of the VBS and followers to local socio-economic development.

The opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival-DIFF 2026 officially sparked a six-night fireworks festival from May 30 to July 11.

Among the highlights are the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) Asian Championship and the WDSF World Ranking Events, which will gather about 4,000 athletes from 37 countries and regions in the largest dancesport competition ever staged in Vietnam.
