Deputy PM raises cooperation recommendations for global eco-civilisation building
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on November 5 proposed three cooperation recommendations in his key remarks delivered at a forum on driving green investment and trade to jointly build global eco-civilisation, held as part of the ongoing 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China.

Beijing (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Tran HongHa on November 5 proposed three cooperation recommendations in his key remarksdelivered at a forum on driving green investment and trade to jointly buildglobal eco-civilisation, held as part of the ongoing 6th China InternationalImport Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China.
Ha was one of the three keynote speakers at the event, whichgathered over 200 representatives from governments and internationalorganisations, businesses, and experts.
He affirmed that this is ahistoric moment for the world to quickly innovate and transition from a browneconomy to a green one.
The first recommendation is to focus on strengthening international cooperation and solidarity tobuild an ecosystem for green investment and trade, as in dealing with global challenges, globalefforts and a commitment to multilateralism are necessary.
Secondly, the process of greening investments and commercialactivities must ensure fairness, countriesneed to act together and pursue common goals while considering their differencesin development levels, economic scales, and the adaptive capacity. And
Thirdly, science and technology serve as key to climate changeresponse and green transition, so developed countries should lead ininnovation and sci-tech development to produce green products toward environmentallyfriendly and low-emission infrastructure, transport, and production, while international organisations should contribute to ensuring the fairallocation of resources and the green technology transfer from developed todeveloping countries.
The Deputy PM held that if developed and developingcountries cooperate, efficiently utilise and harness natural resources forenergy transition, they can turn the impossible into the possible and worktowards the ultimate goal of sustainable development and a global ecologicalcivilisation.
Ha affirmed that Vietnam is ready to join other nations, both developedand developing, in establishing a cooperation framework between themserving green transition.

After the forum, he toured the exhibitionspaces of nearly 40 Vietnamese firms at the CIIE, which attracts more than 150countries, territories and international organisations as well as 3,400 firmsworldwide.
Also on November 5, the official received CEO of AstraZeneca PascalSoriot and Founder of the Jiangsu Runergy New Energy Technology Co. Ltd TaoLongzhong.

Ha said the Vietnamese government is always ready tofacilitate AstraZeneca's successful implementation of projects in Vietnam inthe fields of health, pharmaceuticals, healthcare ecosystem, and sustainabledevelopment, while Soriot expressed the business’s desire to consult and supportthe nation in establishing a carbon credit market.

Talking to Tao, the Deputy PM proposed that the technologygroup and Vietnam collaborate on researching and developing feasibletechnological solutions related to solar panels, smart power transmissiongrids, green hydrogen and green ammonia, and energy storage batteries./.

The animal was identified as a clouded monitor (Varanus nebulosus), weighing approximately two kilograms and measuring around 70 centimetres in length. The species belongs to Group IB — a category of endangered and rare forest wildlife species given the highest level of protection in Vietnam, with all forms of commercial exploitation and use strictly prohibited.
The stump-tailed macaque, scientifically known as Macaca arctoides, is classified as a rare and endangered species under Group IIB in Vietnam’s regulations on endangered wildlife management.
Ho Chi Minh City aims to push urban green coverage above 1 sq.m per person by 2030, while stepping up greenhouse gas reduction initiatives on the way to Net Zero by 2050.
Designed to process 2,000 tonnes of waste per day and generate 45MW of electricity for the national grid, the project is the first high-tech waste-to-energy plant in southwestern Hanoi, where large-scale solid waste treatment facilities have long been lacking.
