Digital Race for university students launched

The FPT Corporation and Vietnam Television (VTV) has kicked off the 2018-2019 Digital Race for all students at universities across the country and some schools in Asia.

Hanoi (VNA) - The FPT Corporationand Vietnam Television (VTV) has kicked off the 2018-2019 Digital Race for allstudents at universities across the country and some schools in Asia.

Taking part in the competition, students willhave chances to research, create and experience the newest technology in thefield of self-driving cars.

With the participation of teams fromuniversities in Asia, Vietnamese students will have the chance to exchange andlearn knowledge and skills to prepare for work in the global environment.

The total prize fund is up to 1.5 billion VND (65,000USD). The winning team will receive a reward worth more than 1.1 billion VND,including a one-week trip to learn about new technology in the US or Japan, 15million VND in cash and a doctoral degree scholarship in artificialintelligence, worth 700 million VND, for the best candidate.

FPT General Director Bui Quang Ngoc said thatthe goal of FPT was not only to create a playground for young people in Vietnamto access and practice with the latest technology but also set up a globalenvironment to equip them with the skills necessary to confidently enter theFourth Industrial Revolution.

The race will be held in three cities of Hanoi, DaNang and Ho Chi Minh City.

To participate in the competition, contestantscan register at https://dangky.cuocduaso.fpt.com.vn. Each team must consist of three to fourmembers of the same university.

Registration will be open from October 11 toNovember 5. The semi-final round will be held from March 1-31 next year. Thefinal round will take place in April and May next year.-VNA

Fostering the habit of using legitimate copyrighted publications, respecting authors’ rights, and promoting a healthy digital consumption culture will help create a more sustainable environment for the publishing industry in the future.

According to Dr. Le Minh Nghia, Chairman of the Vietnam Financial Consulting Association (VFCA), AI has become a key driver reshaping the global financial industry.
