Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnamese Women’s Museum is one ofthe top destinations in Hanoi. It gives visitors an insight into the Vietnameseculture through the beauty of Vietnamese women.

The museum showcases more than 28,000 objects, photos and videos,illustrating the daily lives of Vietnamese women in the past, during the warand in modern times.

The museum’s exhibits are arranged into three thematic galleries,namely “Women in Family”, “Women in History” and “Women’s Fashion” on threefloors.

Martin Peronnet, a French visitor chose to begin his first trip toHanoi by visiting the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. He said he admired thecontribution made by Vietnamese women to the national liberation anddevelopment.

“Ican see that Vietnamese women joined the incredible war that we all feel verybad about it,” said Peronnet looking around the ‘Womenin History’ floor.

He also expressed his admiration for Vietnam to build itselfin a incredibly tough and hostile environment in the past and make significantsocio-economic achievement recently.

Likemany other foreign visitors, Safi Abdallah, a tourist from Morocco also wantedto spend his first day in Vietnam by exploring the museum and he found it worthvisiting.

“The museum gives me ideas about how old it is about the historyof Vietnam, particularly in the role of women in their family and working andfighting the war,” Abdallah said.

Abdallah expressed his impression of the freedom Vietnamese womenhave gained, not only in improving their own family lives but also makingcontribution to the nation through war fighting, education, and politics.

Meanwhile, Basha Silver, a recently-married tourist from New YorkCity was attracted by the museum because its exhibits showcase roles andresponsibilities of women in typical Vietnamese families and traditionalmarriage and childbirth customs across ethnic groups.

However, Basha Silver said she was most impressed by the diversefashion, costumes and jewels of Vietnamese women.

“It is really interesting how different groups have differentfashions and costumes, jewels. I was most impressed by the embroidery anddyeing techniques used by different ethnic groups,” Silver said.

The Vietnamese Women Museum was established in 1987 andopened to the public in 1995. It receives up to hundreds of visitors per day,most of them foreigners.

The annual event is one of Bulgaria’s largest international cultural festivals, attracting more than 20,000 visitors, including local residents, international tourists and members of Asian communities living and working in the country.

The exhibition, “Vietnam Crossroads”, is framed as an invitation to retrace Vietnam’s historical journey. Each photo functions as a fragment of a larger story, spotlighting the vitality, determination, and resilience that have defined the Vietnamese people across periods of upheaval.

The inscription collection, which is believed to be from the fifth century to 13th century, were carved on sandstone and terracotta stele, cantilevers and architectural structure beams and girders, or were engraved texts on pedestals.

The international short documentary film festival “Viet Culture in Motion” highlights the efforts of young Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese filmmakers to introduce Vietnam’s culture and people to international audiences through documentary storytelling. It has brought together professional filmmakers, screenwriters and cultural and film activists from Vietnam and abroad.

Its participation marked an important step for the central city of Hue to expand its international partnerships, deepen integration with municipalities worldwide, and cement its role and standing as a dynamic and responsible heritage city within the Francophone network.

Scheduled for June 19-21 at Bong Lai Islet on Tinh Tam Lotus Lake in Phu Xuan ward, one of Hue’s most renowned scenic landmarks and a symbol of royal garden art, the festival draws inspiration from the lotus’s enduring beauty in court culture. The event aims to honour local heritage while offering visitors a distinctive summer tourism experience.

The “Vietnam Pavilion” at Aldea Global 2026 offers Mexican visitors and international guests an opportunity to explore the country’s rich cultural heritage, history and people through exhibitions, tourism promotion activities, traditional arts presentations and displays of representative cultural products.
