Hanoi (VNA) – The 10th Latin American Music Gala was organised inHanoi on January 4 to mark the 60th anniversary of Cuba’s revolution andwelcome New Year 2019.
Attending the eventwere over 200 delegates, including leaders of Vietnamese ministries and Hanoi,members of the Vietnam Friendship Associations with Latin American countriessuch as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela,Vietnamese people who used to learn and work in these countries, together withAmbassadors of the countries.
The event aimed topromote cultures of Latin American countries, intensify solidarity andfriendship between peoples of Vietnam and the regional nations, and boostpeople-to-people diplomacy of Hanoi capital city.
Vice President of theHanoi Union of Friendship Organisations Tran Thi Phuong stressed that over thepast years, Vietnam has received valuable support and sentiments from theGovernments and peoples of Latin American nations.
The music gala is toshow Vietnam’s gratitude toward friends form Latin America, she added.
At the event,participants were offered a chance to enjoy songs and dances with LatinAmerican style.-VNA
