Vietnam’s national football team welcomed in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Le QuyQuynh, the embassy’s staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community onDecember 7 greeted Vietnam’s national football team at the Kuala LumpurInternational Airport.

The Vietnamese team came to play in the final first leg against the hostMalaysia in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2018.

Congratulating efforts made by Korean coach Park Hang-seo and the footballplayers, Quynh hoped that the team will continue doing their utmost to bringhonour to Vietnamese football aficionados.

Park, for his part, thanked the embassy, Vietnamese representative agencies andthe Vietnamese community in Malaysia for their great encouragements for theteam.

The same day, the Vietnamese Embassy issued an emergency warning to Vietnamesefootball fans, who will come to Malaysia to cheer on their side in the final firstleg of the tournament scheduled on December 11.

Accordingly, they are advised to reduce traveling to Dataran Merdeka as alarge-scale rally is likely to take place at the square on December 8.

Besides bearing passports with validity of at least six months, they shouldprotect their personal documents and belongings and must respect Malaysia’slegal regulations as well as customs and practices of the country, including nosmoking and drinking alcohol at public and wine-banned restaurants.
