First Hanoi Food Culture Festival to lure tourists
The Hanoi Food Culture Festival 2018, the first of its kind, will take place in the capital city from October 5-10 with an aim of introducing Hanoi’s cuisine legacy to locals and tourists alike.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Food Culture Festival2018, the first of its kind, will take place in the capital city from October5-10 with an aim of introducing Hanoi’s cuisine legacy to locals and touristsalike.
The festival will recapture cultural spaces of craftvillages associated with outstanding Hanoi food such as Hanoi Pho, Thanh Tristeamed roll rice pancakes, Vong and Me Tri green rice flakes, Quan Ganh ricecake, and Uoc Le pork pies.
A photo exhibition on Hanoi now and then, its culturalhistory and cuisine will also be held. It will introduce a code of conduct inpublic areas in the capital.
A major stage will feature exchanges with artisans andresearchers on Hanoi cuisine as well as folk games to help tourists betterunderstand the value of Hanoi cuisine.
Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy food cooked intraditional ways.
The organising board hopes that the event will contribute topromoting tourism in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.-VNA

Vietnamese food-lovers will be able to tuck into quintessential Hanoian fare during a six-day festival that started on Oct. 6 at Ho Tay Park on Lac Long Quan Street to mark the capital's millennium.

The festival is expected to bring together around 900 artists, producers and film professionals from Vietnam and abroad, including more than 200 international guests. This marks the largest edition since DANAFF was first launched in 2023, highlighting its growing appeal within the film industry.
Bilingual book, exhibition honour Ho Chi Minh’s legacy
