HCM City (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City Police said onJune 2 they had uncovered a massive production and distribution network of amphetaminepills, seizing 4,000 pills and various tools and chemicals for production.
The ring was led by Dang Hoang Minh, born in 1985, aresident in Go Vap district.
Suspecting Minh supplied the drug to a number of hotspots inthe city, local police followed him and located his production facility at arented house in District 12’s Dong Hung Thuan street.
On May 31, Minh was arrested while riding his scooter in GoVap district. Searching his room at a hotel in Go Vap, the police found 1,000pills hidden in a box placed at the room’s vent-hole. Another search at the houseMinh hired in District 12 discovered 3,000 more pills, and drug-making materialand machines.
