Trafficker of 3.5kg of heroin arrested in Dien Bien
Police in the northern province of Dien Bien has seized a man for trafficking 10 bricks of heroin (about 3.5kg).

Dien Bien (VNA) – Police in the northern province of Dien Bienhas seized a man for trafficking 10 bricks of heroin (about 3.5kg).
Ly A Chau, 21, from Muong Nha commune, Dien Bien district of Dien Bien,who was arrested on May 31 at Him Lam hotel in Dien Bien Phu city, confessedthat he bought the heroin in the Vietnam-Laos border area for selling in DienBien Phu city.
The police also seized a motorbike and some other exhibits.
The case is under further investigation.
Dien Bien, sharing the border with Laos and China, is a complicatedlocality in terms of drug trafficking.
Earlier in January 2018, the drugs squad of Dien Bien brought to light alarge drug trafficking ring involving a Lao national and 21 cakes of heroin(about 7.5kg), seizing two suspects.-VNA
