HCM City (VNA) – The 10th International Environmentand Energy Technology Exhibition (ENTECH Vietnam 2018) kicked off at SaigonExhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City on May 9.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Nguyen The Dong, Deputy Director Generalof the Vietnam Environment Administration under the Ministry of NaturalResources and Environment, said that over the past years, Vietnam has rolledout many measures to protect the environment and boost sustainable developmentin industrial and agricultural production.
Enterprises as well as production and trading establishments should promptlyrenovate their production process and services by applying advanced, environmentally-friendlytechnologies.
Running through May 11, ENTECH Vietnam 2018 has seen the participation120 domestic and foreign enterprises with 160 booths showing hundreds ofproducts and technologies in environmental treatment, new energy, renewableenergy and eco-products.
The annual event offered a chance for enterprises from other countries,especially those that are strong in environment technology and energy, to seekbusiness opportunities in Vietnam as well as Southeast Asia.
It was also a venue for domestic firms to access new technologies andconnect with foreign partners, thus improving their capacity in engaging indomestic energy and environment projects.
Vu Ngoc Tinh, Director of the Centre for Environment Consultancy andTechnology, said that the new features of ENTECH Vietnam 2018 includeactivities to promote partnerships between Vietnam and other countries inenvironmental technologies and energy, and encourage the signing of memorandumof understanding and cooperation deals among enterprises.
According to the organisers, last year, the exhibition drew 170companies from six countries with 220 booths, attracting 35,800 visitors.-VNA

With the bilateral relations continuing to grow and the determination of both sides to advance innovation, cooperation in AI and high technology is expected to become one of the most dynamic pillars of Vietnam-Singapore relations in the coming time.
